Rosenstein appointed Special Counsel Robert Mueller last May to investigate Russian meddling in the 2016 election and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, and the lawmakers say he should be impeached because he did not respond quickly to requests for documents related to FBI investigations.
Speaking at an event in Washington, Rosenstein said he had nothing to say about documents that “nobody has the courage to put their name on and that they leak in that way.” Rosenstein added that “there are people who have been making threats privately and publicly against me for quite some time and I think they should understand by now the Department of Justice is not going to be extorted.” Catherine Garcia
