Obama Nominates Garland for Supreme Court, McConnell Will Not Consider

On Wednesday morning, President Obama announced his nomination of Merrick B. Garland to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Garland is currently the chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He would also be the first Justice to have a Twitter account.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stands by his decision not to consider Garland in the Senate, invoking what he calls the Biden rule.
