Nunes creates ‘news’ website to counter ‘negative’ news reports of his Trump-Russia investigation

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) wants to counter all of the negative news reports about his role in investigating the Trump-Russia saga. So, he recently began his own partisan online ‘magazine.’

The website, paid for by Nunes’ campaign committee, has prominently displayed Nunes’ photo and the headline, “Understanding the process behind #ReleaseTheMemo.” Earlier this month, Republicans approved the release of a classified memo that alleges bias by FBI agents investigating the alleged Trump-Russia connection.

Nunes now faces a different kind of attack. A barrage of traffic and an apparent attack on the website’s servers gave error messages when people attempted to reach the site on Sunday. The website’s official Facebook page has about 4,700 followers.

The website is also likely to be utilized as Nunes’ prepares for the 2018 midterm election, even though he defeated Democratic challenger Louie Campos in 2016 with 67.6 percent of the vote, the Washington Examiner reported.
