MSNBC host says reporters should ‘wring’ Sarah Huckabee Sander’s neck. Now the host is backtracking.

An MSNBC daytime host is backtracking after she suggested on-air Friday that White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders should be choked for allegedly dodging questions about a report that a White House staffer made disparaging remarks about Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) health.

What did the host say?
MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace, who served as an aide to McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, asked NBC White House reporter Kristen Welker how she resists temptation to choke Sanders during press briefings.

“How do you resist the temptation to run up and wring her neck? Why can’t she just say, ‘If a staffer said that, we’re going to get to the bottom of it and she’ll be fired?'” Wallace asked.

Wallace was referring to a report this week that alleged White House aide Kelly Sadler mocked McCain’s health during an internal meeting with communications officials at the White House.
