Even Russians think Donald Trump’s hair is funny

Moscow may be trying to disrupt or otherwise meddle in the U.S. election, perhaps to harm Hillary Clinton, but ordinary Russians apparently have a diversity of opinion on the U.S. political process and its most flashy candidate. BBC News journalists Emma Wells, who is British, and Matt Danzico, an America, rode the Trans-Siberian Railway with a camera and some questions. “Having recently flown in from the U.S., where there is a heated presidential election going on,” Danzico said, “I would be curious what Russian passengers on board this train think about the United States right now, and maybe more specifically, think about Donald Trump.”
Some of the Russians interviewed are wary of the U.S. and one of those passengers, sitting in the lounge car, had nice things to say about Trump: “Like Vladimir Putin said, he is a striking person. I like what he has said. Why not cooperate with Russia?” A woman on the platform laughed at Trump’s name and said she has watched “funny videos” of him on YouTube, calling Trump “a kind of stand-up actor.” A woman who works for the railroad handed Trump a loaded compliment: “He’s a very rich man. Very rich. He could make himself completely perfect. Right? I’ve always had the question, why does he have that chaos and disorder on his head?” Watch below. Peter Weber
