Former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said Friday that he will vote for Donald Trump in large part because the voters want him.
Donald Trump was certainly not my first choice, but he is the voters’ choice, they have spoken here, he said on CNN.
Jindal admitted that not all Republicans are ready to support him, such as House Speaker Paul Ryan, who said Thursday that he’s not ready to support him. Still, Jindal said there are some things Trump could do to make Republicans more comfortable.
I think it would be a great thing if Donald Trump would tell us who his secretary of defense would be, who his secretary of state would be, he said.
I think if he would surround himself with proven, conservative leaders, that might give more comfort to the Paul Ryans and others out there, Jindal added.
